Green roofs are part of the urban landscape. As such, many studies have shown that they can have a positive impact on health and environment, especially in a climat change context. But, often these studies were carried out under very experimental conditions or on a limited number of roofs.

What about existing roofs that have been in place for a number of years in Geneva? Do they fully play their roles? How the substrate, the biodiversity and the water managment do evolve over time and what conditions must be respected for a green roof to provide all benefits that we shoud expect?

To answer to many of these questions HEPIA Geneva, member of the HES-SO University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland, the HES-SO and the canton of Geneva, in partnership with the GCC have the pleasure to invite you to the results presentation of a project that allowed to make a full diagnostic of around thirty green roofs in the canton of Geneva.

This day will also be the occasion to exchange between professionals on the techniques, the needs and the tools allowing to value the green roofs and to visit some, within the framework of this project.
